The program focuses on finance as a tool to pursue a career in this highly dynamic sector. The Master in Finance equips participants with up-to-the minute knowledge in key areas of finance such as leveraged buy-outs, credit derivatives or mergers and acquisitions. The program will play a pivotal role in increasing candidate appeal in recruitment processes for leading financial institutions, such as investment banks, private equity or asset management. This is a program centred around finance, in line with the demand of the recruiting market in the financial arena. Further areas covered include macroeconomics, financial accounting, financial entrepreneurship, presentation skills and negotiation. In addition to finance courses, students will be required to undertake level I of the CFA Charter, a highly respected international degree within the finance sector.
Designed for students with an outstanding academic record just finishing their undergraduate studies and/or limited professional experience.
The three-part CFA® exam entitles successful candidates to become a “CFA Charterholder”. A relevant number of sessions will allow the student to prepare the CFA® examination. The CFA® certificate has become a basic requirement for individuals who work as investment analysts, portfolio managers and other investment decision-makers employed by investment firms, banks, broker/dealers, investment companies, insurance companies and other agencies. Preparatory classes for the CFA®I will be mandatory for all graduates on the Master in Finance.

CerrarCandidates pay a non-refundable application fee of 120€ to cover administrative costs.
The tuition fees for the Master in Finance 2008 amount to €32,000 + €1,100 (contribution to the IE Business School Foundation).
Admission is valid for two years, allowing the successful applicant up to two years to reserve a place on an intake, thus allowing students to plan their experience. To reserve a place on the Master in Finance, intake students are required to make a deposit equivalent to 20% of the total program fees + the contribution to the IE Business School Foundation.
