Being part of the IE community is more than just being an alumnus; it's being a part of a global network of people sharing a set of common goals, and ethical values. You will build up a network of contacts with your classmates, professors, and associations and clubs; as well as the corporate relationships that IE has fostered over the years.
During your time at IE Business School, you will have the opportunity to build up a network of contacts within the school. Your classmates will become contacts for the future each of them with their own experiences prior to beginning the Master in Finance. Your professors, with their vast experience, will provide you with a further network of professional contacts many of whom will themselves be IE alumni.
In addition, IE Business School runs a number of centers dedicated to research and development in key areas of international business that are closely linked to the real needs and specific demands of the business world. You can also collaborate in a number of global initiatives and projects, which IE leads or takes part in, covering a host of sectors and issues including Entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability, and Strategy.
In addition, the IE Communities platform is a network of virtual communities that promote the development of your international network and share theoretical and practical knowledge of sectors, functional areas and geographic regions. You can visit the IE Communities here: communities.ie.edu/ and visit the Financial Community here: http://finance.blogs.ie.edu/
IE Business School has cultivated extensive relationships across the world, all of which are open to you. All of these contribute to your IE network.
FamilIE, run by the Student Office, co-ordinates and organizes extra curricular activities which take place at IE, and which contribute so greatly to the IE experience. These events and clubs present you with a great opportunity to network outside of class, and meet people that you may not otherwise meet within the classroom. FamilIE events and clubs are not open only to IE's students, but to their families as well. The Partner's Club in particular is geared towards ensuring that family members or partners get the most out of the IE Experience.
